OK - One Last Comedic Commentary About Sarah Palin. Then I'll Be Quiet. Probably.

Two items I noticed today that sort of mesh together.

The first -
Sarah Palin has stated that the time and money spent dealing with the numerous ethics complaints filed against her were a major factor in her stepping out of the Governor's office:
"I'm not going to let Alaskans go through a year of stymied, paralyzed administration and not getting anything done."
Of course, a number of skeptics asked if some ethics complaints made her unable to govern a state, how in the heck could she deal with the far more complex and weightier problems of being the President of the United States?

Her answer: The President is protected from such problems by the Department of Law.
"I think on a national level your department of law there in the White House would look at some of the things that we've been charged with and automatically throw them out," she said.
There's one major flaw in that reasoning.

There IS no Department of Law at the White House.

The second-

For your enjoyment, Letterman's take about Palin's resignation on last night's show.
